We went to a Drive In last night
(neither of us having been
in more years than we care to admit)
It was a doubleheader
and double the fun
--so much more exciting than a
movie in a theater
People talking, football throwing,
the smell of popcorn in the air.
Interactive rather than singular--
more a coming together than a going out.
And little Max, so excited
to be out and about;
he fell asleep
fifteen minutes into Star Trek
once the explosions died down
