Blogging a bit before getting down to the last frickin' chapter I need to fix...
So, another new anime that little dude and I have been watching is How to Keep a Mummy. And OMG is it perfect to watch with him. Sora's dad is some kind of explorer or archaeologist. He sends Sora weird, usually scary stuff...stuff that tries to kill him (but in such a way as you get the feeling the dad is just clueless, not actually trying to kill him). This time he sends him a full-size coffin and a mummy...but the mummy that comes out is tiny. Teensy! Mii-kun!
And Mii-kun is literally the most adorable thing ever. We're only 3 episodes in as they are released weekly on Thursdays and it just started this season BUT it is the little dude's absolute favourite thing ever now.
It's a very sweet show and very simple (so far) with Sora trying to figure out how best to keep Mii-kun and Mii-kun doing his best to take care of Sora.
Literally just the sweetest thing ever. We want to make a Mii-kun doll. We want a little tiny mummy of our own.
And so far, nothing much inappropriate other than Sora's sister (?) Kaede (she has the same last name and lives in the house, but is older) having a bit of a personality change when she puts glasses on (she models as a job, but is only confident when she has glasses on in a meganekko kind of way). And it wasn't very extreme, she just went all flirty until Sora's best friend calmly flicked her glasses off. Played for laughs, in other words. Hopefully it stays that way because this show is just adorkable and the little man loves it. He counts down for the episodes. He wants the books.
It's hard to even explain how a mummy can be cute but Mii-kun is even cuter than whatever you can possibly think of.
